MCD Electronics Sp. z o.o. was established in 1999 as one of a number of companies formed after the division of Z.P.U.H. “Datcom” s.c. which had been in operation on the electronics market since 1992. In 1999 the company became a Limited Liability Company (Sp. z o.o.).

At that time the fast growing satellite technology market allowed us to develop and begin mass production of analogue satellite receivers, and resulting from that, the production of satellite antenna movement controllers. These controllers evolved over the years from the model DATCOM AP100 to DATCOM AP800. At that time, their production constituted 75% of the total production in the country. Many years of controller manufacturing allowed us to develop and sell automatic controllers for entrance gates and garage gates. We also developed and produced emergency lighting systems for public buildings and the first controllers for medical equipment.

Currently, based on our great experience in the development and design of various controllers, we are designing more ambitious and sophisticated electronics for medicine, industrial control systems, monitoring systems, and emergency lighting. Our research and development department is equipped with state-of-the-art control and measurement instruments, supported by advanced computer software.

The company employs about 100 people with appropriate qualifications and professional experience in the areas of automation, electronics, and IT.

We should mention that although the European electronics market is “flooded” with equipment manufactured in the Far East, our company is well established on the market and remains competitive, offering high quality services.

Here are some examples of our products:
- medical equipment controllers,
- components of emergency lighting systems for public buildings,
- various electronic devices.

These are products manufactured according to our own innovative concepts. Our products are based mainly on 16-, and 32-bit FUJITSU microcontrollers, microcontrollers from the family ’51 series, PIC and many others.

Our custom-made designs are integrated into ready-to-use solutions encompassing hardware and software dedicated to each client’s needs.

Our internally developed manufacturing process control procedure allows us to control every work station and production phase to ensure the high quality of products and services. This results in satisfaction for our customers.

At the client’s request we can make available the full documentation of the product, and the manufacturing process at every stage. Such a manufacturing control procedure allows us to quickly review the entire production process in case of a need to verify the correctness of assembly, or if any dispute arises when a fault is detected. This system is also in direct preparation for the introduction of the ISO 9000 quality assurance system. Moreover, the controllers we manufacture are tested at accredited laboratories, according to the stringent requirements of medical standards and the CE marking.

One of the components essential in quality assurance is our modern SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production line for the assembly of small components. The following machines are used: EKRA automatic screen printer with vision centering system , MYDATA SMD component mounting machine, ERSA tunnel reflow soldering oven , SOLTEC MIDI automatic soldering wave with double wave type SMART WAVE.

Our electronic components are selected according to the state-of-the-art solutions from recognised manufacturers, such as Philips, Siemens, Texas Instruments, Fujitsu, STM, Phycomp, Motorola, Atmel, Toshiba, Kingbright. The main suppliers of these components are: Spoerle electronic, EBV, Rutronik, Avnet, Eurodis, Future Electronic, Memec, Breve-Tufvassons, Tyco Polska, and many others, and the PCB boards are manufactured by: Eldos, Hatron, Technoservice, Europrint and other companies. All these companies have appropriate ISO 9000 quality assurance certificates. The experience of designers, carefully selected components and years of research and tests assure the robustness and reliable operation of the electronic circuits manufactured by our company.
